Heute ist der dritte Montag im Januar und Apple gedenkt auf ihrer amerikanischen Website dem Bürgerrechtler Martin Luther King. Das Bild zeigt King bei seiner legendären „I have a dream“-Rede mit den Sätzen: Today we reflect an the life and vision of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and the work that continues in service of the broader concerns of humanity.

Es ist nicht das erste Mal, dass Apple King ehrt. Schon im ebenfalls legendären Think Different-Spot trat er auf. Auch CEO Tim Cook erwähnte ihn in zwei Reden Ende 2013. Er verriet sogar, dass in seinem Büro ein Bild des ehemaligen Pastors hängt und ihn täglich inspiriere.

Here’s to the crazy ones. The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes. The ones who see things differently. They’re not fond of rules. And they have no respect for the status quo. You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them. About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them. Because they change things.
